Tim is an Accomplished Alaska Bush Pilot with extensive expertise in mountain flying and off-airport operations. he has Over 30 years of flying and guiding experience in the rugged terrains of Alaska and Colorado. This includes 12 years as a Bear Viewing Guide, leading over 900 fun and exciting bear viewing tours. he is Currently serving as both Director of Operations and Chief Pilot for Cook Inlet Aviation, LLC. a Senior Instructor for the National Outdoor Leadership School, with a demonstrated history of leading in high-stakes outdoor environments. Certified Idaho and Utah Whitewater River Guide, Swift-Water Rescue Technician, and Helicopter Crew Chief, bringing unparalleled skills in wilderness safety, technical rescue and outdoor education. with Three decades of service on the San Miguel County Search and Rescue Team and as a Wilderness First Responder. Not only is Ty a seasoned Bear Whispering Bush Pilot, A&P Mechanic, CPR Certified, ordained minister, he is also a coffee loving Dog rescuer who Backcountry Snowboards. Ty is from Geraldine, MT. a tiny farming & ranching town in the middle of nowhere. Raising cattle was the family business, but flying & the outdoors was “the” way of life. Ty first fell in love with Alaska in 1999 as a fishing boat crewman in Bristol Bay. Waking up to Volcanos in the distance & Brown Bear walking the beach, Ty immediately knew that Alaska was calling. returning to Montana, he joined the Army at age 17 & became a Cavalry Scout. Later in life, this path turned out to be invaluable for Bear Guiding.  In 2016, he moved to Alaska to take his first flying job in the Bush.  After years of incredible experiences in Western Alaska, he decided to put his roots down year-round in homer. 5 seasons of Bear Guiding & thousands of flight hours in the logbook, Ty has finally found his true calling & would love to show you “The best place on Earth”. Ty brings a local’s touch, adventurous spirit, & a deep love for Alaska to every journey.
